The Riverton Improvement Association (RIA) proposes to establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. They would like to develop a well-maintained space open to dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions. Developing the park will be a partnership between the Borough of Riverton and the Riverton Improvement Association, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike. It is anticipated that all funds for constructing the facility will be donated outside of Borough funds. RIA and the Borough would like to assess the level of interest of Riverton residents before proceeding.
